So pleased we found Alternative Tiles! We had our kitchen extended which resulted in an extended hallway, we had Minton tiles on our existing hallway and needed to match old to new. After considerable time on the internet and considering going to reclamation yards we came across Alternative Tiles. I emailed Tim our dimensions and he came back to me immediately with ideas and measurements, we live in Coventry and decided to travel the M1 to Derby to meet with Tim and his team and see the tiles in store, we are so glad we did as this made our decision, helpfully we were given samples to take away to match to our existing tiles and I was able to order over the telephone on Monday morning. The delivery had arrived in good time by Wednesday and we collected at the weekend. We are so pleased with the design and the tiles and the service I would recommend this company to anyone. Over a period of two months the advice given by Tim proved invaluable, my e-mails were answered the same day and I felt he had a genuine interest in what I was trying to achieve. What a find. A genuine traditional company that really cares about the customer. I am in West Sussex and was finding it hard to find a supplier of Victorian Floor tiles. After trawling the internet I came across Alternative Tiles. I emailed the rough sizes of the area to tile and pattern idea and was emailed back straight away by Tim with queries on my measuring! After a very detailed chat, he called me directly which made life easier. I said I would remeasure and get back to him, which I did and again he promtly came back with ideas and a drawing of what I might like. Perfect. After a little more back and forth on the phone we finally came up with the amount, the design and the cost, including VAT and delivery-a rarity these days! I placed my order on the Tuesday, I then received detailed emails with more of the design, receipts, instructions for laying and a shopping list of products for laying down t he tiles. What service. Thursday, here I am with my tiles all delivered, can't wait to see them down. I cannot praise this company and their personal service enough and it didn't matter that I am at the other end of the country to them. Distance really wasn't a problem! It's 18 months since we moved to our new property and the tiling provided by Tim & his team at Alternative Tiles are just looking as good as ever! We spent many weekends looking at tiles elsewhere but on a trip to Derby we came across Alternative Tiles. We took our architects drawings, drew up a chair and had a lovely cup of tea whilst Tim advised us on every aspect of the tiles appropriate for our needs, offering design ideas, quality assurance and wear and tear. Tim made it so easy to buy over 200 sq.mtrs of tiles and associated products. We used Tim's experitise to provide ideas for borders and splashbacks to enhance the bathroom & kitchen and now we recommend anyone to Alternative Tiles who is thinking about tiling. I have been using Alternative Tiles for 4 years and bought many different styles of tiles and quantities for both my resedential and commercial portfolio. They have a breadth of experience and knowledge that you won't find in the multiple retailers. Their assistance in helping customers choose is invaluable, especially when you don't know what you want and there are so many fabulous tiles! They listen carefully to you and have an innate sense of what goes with what. Their range is extensive with new ranges coming in all the time. I sometimes have to waiver my choice as the next tiles come in and they are even better. Price wise they are comparable with other retailers and in some instances they are better, the price you see is what you pay - there is no annoying small print.
