"We are absolutely delighted with our Victorian tiled hallway and would like to extend a huge thanks to Tim & his team at Alternative Tiles in Derbyshire for helping us achieve it. Having recently moved into an old Victorian property in south Oxfordshire, our local search failed to identify the product or level of service we were looking for to meet our aspirations so we ventured further afield. Our contact with Alternative Tiles was immensely positive from the outset. From the initial speculative telephone call to the showroom, we were convinced that the company was going to be right for us. They were able to source the style & colour of tiles we were looking for based on an authentic Victorian pattern, design the floor for us using measurements we provided, supply accurate detailed costings and a coloured drawing and to allow us to view a wide selection of samples before making our final choice. Tim also recommended a highly skilled father and son team to carry out the intricate job of laying over 1000 tiles in the time frame agreed. An added bonus was the opportunity to meet the lead tiler at a project meeting at the showroom before the job began and to have their support in removal and disposal of the previously installed modern tiles and in the preparation of the site before the work began. It was a seamless service from start to finish. 

The distance between Oxfordshire & Derbyshire did not impact on the project plan nor inflate the costs at all based on our experience of sourcing trades people local to our home. In summary the finished floor is completely wonderful and provides a real wow factor immediately on opening the front door! We would not hesitate to contact Alternative Tiles for future projects as we continue to restore our home nor hesitate to recommend the company to any future customers who, like us, might be seeking a high end customer experience and premium products at a very reasonable price.  "
