Terracotta
Terracotta represents tiles in their purest form. Made from clay - left to dry in the hot sun then fired in an oven. It gives a unique warmth and tends to mellow and improve with age. Terracotta does require quite a lot of input to get the best from it, frequent waxing is required to build up and maintain protection.
A terracotta is a floor which is always changing with marks and scratches adding to it's old and mediterranean look. If you like the look but don't want to have to work to achieve it we have many porcelain alternatives that to the untrained eye look the same but require nothing but an occasional mop over.
